Decisions! I’m making romper number two because I declare it the #summeroftheromper. Which red matched better, the bias tape or the piping? Leopard print all the time every time. In this case, it’s leopard print quilting cotton in yet another @byhandlondon Charlotte pencil skirt. I first made this skirt to take on a vacation, and since then I’ve made that a bit of a tradition. Do you make clothes for yourself for a vacation? I find it’s a nice way to have a souvenir of that fun anticipation time before the holiday arrives. 😄 Stay tuned over the next few days for my next vacation sewing project. My love of @deer_and_doe_patterns continues. This is my newly finished #ddreglisse in some lovely poplin. The only thing I altered was the length, which I added about 2” to. Unusual for a shorty like me, I know, but I saw FOs of other’s folks’ dresses and they looked a touch short for my current tastes. Scroll through to see how bloody windy it was today for these pics! Went on a sewing binge the last few days and got a chance to debut the first one today on a but of a beer journey around Niagara. It’s the summer of the sour AND the romper! The fit on this romper is fine enough - I have to figure out what to do/how to correct the extra fabric around the neckline. That happens with fair regularity. I had to take in the back BIG time, and it still wasn’t quite enough. Always learning! This romper is a combo of @papercutpatterns Rite of Spring shorts and the bodice of a plain JP size 11 retro dress.
